Prompting memories of the perfectly formed EPs Flying Nun Records used to drop on the regular, Fazerdaze aka Amelia Murray is back with her first collection of tunes in half a decade Break! Presenting five songs including firmly established hits 'Come Apart' and the title track, the EP also includes dreamy lo-fi hip hop jam 'Winter', psych / glam / fuzz newie 'Thick Of The Honey' and the emotive grungey punk-pop of 'Otherthink It'. Playing two celebratory events in Aotearoa marking a new era for Fazerdaze, Murray explained how her EP arose from a painful and transformative time for the artist (it was completed over three months "directly in the aftermath of a nine-year-long relationship"), which followed the global breakout success of her 2017 debut album Morningside...

"Because I was so private about the pain I was experiencing I called the EP 'Break!’ to reflect the way that I got myself out of the pain; by breaking, shouting for help, drawing a line and telling people around me that I’d had enough. It was an ugly but transformative time, and I made massive shifts forward in my life when I finally allowed myself to come undone. In this space of brokenness, I found power, freedom, a blank canvas. Break! is ultimately about surrender and acceptance of ugly truths."
